At any one time, somewhere around the globe, a Shakespeare play is being performed. Recognising that Shakespeare is not just a poet and playwright for London or the UK but for the entire world Tom Bird, Festival Director of Globe to Globe, has been on a whistle-stop tour of the world in search of Shakespeare.

The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation is delighted to be supporting Shakespeare’s Globe’s staging of Coriolanus, in Japanese, by Chiten, a 15-member theatre company from Kyoto on 21 and 22 May 2012 as part of the six-week Globe to Globe Shakespeare Festival.
