Daiwa Scholarships alumna Kathleen Reilly will be taking part in a series of events, 14 to 24 September 2024

Artist and metalworker and Daiwa Scholarships alumna Kathleen Reilly will be taking part in this year’s London Design Festival which runs from 14 to 22 September.

She will also be giving talks at Japan House London on 14 September and at the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation on 24 September about her knife design: Oku.

An Oku Pop-up Shop and Cafe will bring together a carefully selected range of products from Tsubame-Sanjo and beyond.

While enjoying drinks and snacks in a space that celebrates the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, visitors can purchase these items and learn about the renowned craftspeople’s techniques.

The pop-up shop & cafe will run in the front space of Galleria Objets in tandem with their main exhibition ‘Oku’.

A Private View will be held from 6 to 9pm on 14 September and a late night virtual performance with composer Hiroki Saitoh on 17 September from 6 to 9pm.
