Application Procedure
The deadline for Daiwa Scholarships in Japanese Studies 2026 is Thursday, 29 January 2026.
Interviews will take place on 6 March 2026.

In addition to completing the online application form, candidates must arrange for confidential references from two referees to be submitted to the Foundation. Both referees should be academics who can comment in detail on your university studies. The reference can be emailed as a PDF attachment typed on letterheaded paper to scholarships@dajf.org.uk.
Applicants are also requested to submit graduation certificate copies, transcripts of current and previous courses attended and evidence of their Japanese language proficiency (this could be an extra reference or could form part of one of the academic references mentioned above).
