Daiwa Scholarship alumnus Carl Randall is exhibiting his new painting, Kintsugi, in two London exhibitions

Daiwa Scholarships alumnus and artist Carl Randall is exhibiting his new Japan painting Kintsugi in two upcoming exhibitions in London.

From 9 to 18 May, Kintsugi will be on display at The Mall Galleries. Carl is an invited guest artist at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Exhibition (invited by Vice President of the Society).

Following that, from 8 to 15 June Carl will be taking part in the 2024 Contemporary British Portrait Painters Exhibition at the Department Store in Brixton. A link with more information can be found here.

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with gold, as depicted in Carl’s new painting.

The broken pieces/area are repaired with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, platinum or silver.
