Categorised under: Art & Exhibitions, Grants
This exhibition presents part of a research project still in progress by Dr Danilo Di Mascio, Senior Lecturer in Architecture, researcher and registered architect.
The study was supported by a Daiwa Foundation grant to enable Danilo’s travel to Japan in order to meet academics in Tokyo and Osaka, and document the relationships between architecture, culture, art and nature on Naoshima.
The project’s main aim is to document and analyse through direct experience the relationships between architecture, culture, art and nature in Naoshima, the location of the selected case study.
Danilo’s exhibition, Relationships between Architecture, Art & Nature on Naoshima, Japan: First Encounter is on display from 15 July to 1 August 2024 at Sovereign Design House, Huddersfield.
The exhibition is open to the public from 10:00 am to 15:00 during weekdays and from 11:00 am to 16:00 on Saturdays.
An information flyer about the exhibition can be found here.
