Lord Rowe Beddoe Speech Text This afternoon symposium at Cardiff City Hall considered Japan’s relationship with Wales from inward investment to present-day research, innovation and manufacturing links. Jointly organised by the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation and the University of Wales, the programme featured speakers from government, business and industry.

The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation hosted a Recital by Ms Lisa Ueda, in aid of the children who have been orphaned or made homeless by the Tohoku disaster. Minister Noda of the Japanese Embassy gave a note of thanks at the event. Thank you for your kind support. Lisa’s efforts raised £3,009, which has been donated to Save the Children Japan.

The Toki Quartet concert was attended by 114 people. Their efforts raised £2,383 which has been donated to the Japan Tsunami Appeal by the British Red Cross. Thank you for your kind support.
