Carl Randall's 'The Kokeshi Maker' on display until 11 July at Gallery 8

Daiwa Scholarships alumnus and artist Carl Randall has a new Japan-themed painting on show at the Hampstead Art Society Summer Exhibition until 11 July at Gallery 8 in Mayfair, central London. His oil painting The Kokeshi Maker is one of 90 artworks chosen from 3,252 worldwide submissions. The show also includes paintings by Winifred Nicholson

蜷川実花氏によるアーティスト・トークのご案内

世界で活躍する写真家であり映画監督の蜷川実花氏が、桜や金魚の象徴的な写真から、最近の「写ルンです」シリーズやパラリンピック選手のポートレート等、自身のアート作品について語ります。また、パンデミックの中で写真家としての活動をどのように調整してきたか、社会的距離感についての考え方や世界観についても探ります。司会は、アシュモレアン美術館キュレーター、フリッチュ・レーナ博士が担当。
蜷川実花氏の作品は、2021年7月29日から、アシュモレアン美術館「TOKYO: ART & PHOTOGRAPHY」展にて展示予定。同氏によるパラリンピック選手のポートレイトは、現在Daiwa Japan House Galleryにて展示中。
